Fresh All Year
I love blueberries, and I love smoothies, so this is right up my alley. It's a deep, black-ish purple color with a subtle berry smell. The taste is great, with that distinctive less sweet, deep wild blueberry flavor. I add to smoothies, where you don't need a lot to get a big punch punch of blueberry flavor and nutrition. Great stuff. Not exactly cheap, but good wild blueberries aren't cheap either, so I think this is reasonably priced.
The way I used this most was to add a spoonful to oatmeal for breakfast. I was going for the anti-inflammatory benefits of blueberry to add it to my diet. I love that this is organic. This is one way to get your blueberries in if you have no freezer space for frozen blueberries or if you don't have access to that big wholesale store to buy large bags of frozen fruit at a decent price.
Very easy to add the power of this superfruit because all you have to do is open the package and sprinkle some on just about anything.Adds a little blueberry taste. It's expensive, but if you have priced fresh or frozen blueberries lately, the price is definitely not out of line.Especially when you consider that this is a shelf stable product that you can have on hand without worry of those moldy blueberries that are always in the bottom of your carton.
This is nice to mix into almost anything. It is a great color-substitute for when you need a bit of purplish coloring in things like smoothies, frosting, etc. Also nice in pancakes and waffles and the like. Not sure if I would use this in general baking as to me, personally, it feels a bit of a waste as you will have to use a bit to get the color and all. Great in smoothies too!Easy to top stuff with or mix in like yogurt or oatmeal. I like it on oatmeal with a touch of date syrup. For how much color or taste you are looking for depends on what you are using it in and how much you use. It is a pretty fine powder – just be sure to break up any possible balls or clumps and you should be good to go.If you found my review helpful, why not click the “helpful” button. Thanks! This powdered blueberry is from Canada. It's great for baking. We added it to blueberry scone mix and it made them a pretty purple color and really gave them a lot of flavor.
